Now the stories about Smålandsstenar continue!

Now the continuation of the spring's successful evenings with Sven Jarl, Magnus ”Bagarn” Svensson and Uffe Danielsson is coming.

What did life in the town centre actually look like before Torghuset was built? For how long has Kindbloms been the central meeting place for community and gossip? Do you know where Weland and EAB once started their operations? And how many murders can take place in a small locality like Smålandsstenar?

The society we live in today has been built by the people before us. This afternoon we leave the present for a while and step straight into stories, memories and local treasures.

The evening is led by our very own living history book Sven Jarl. With his unique knowledge and storytelling ability, and with the help of Magnus ”Bagarn” Svensson, they take us back in time and let us follow the development of the community; the churches, the schools, the shops, the businesses, and not least – the people.

But you who are coming are also part of the evening! There will be time for the audience to share their own stories and memories from our Smålandsstenar.

Feel free to bring photographs, school registers or other items that evoke memories of the past. Lay them out in the venue, tell the story behind them and share it with others. Big or small – together we are creating a living timeline of our community.

At the piano sits Uffe Danielsson, who sets the mood with music that enhances both memories and emotions.

Sven Jarl starts speaking at 17:00. For anyone who wants to, it is fine to stay and chat until 20:00.

Price: 295 kronor per person. Payment is made directly upon booking. Included in the price is a glass of sparkling wine on arrival (with or without alcohol) and the house roast beef sandwich with horseradish, caramelised onion and Dijon cream.
